I read mostly ebooks and am not worried about which ‘edition’ I might be reading. But I do care what book cover shows on my library and lists. And to add to a previous comment, this makes a difference when viewing series.

I would actually prefer to not be locked into editions. When I add a book I would like a sequence (example)

• do you have a preferred edition y/n

• (y) continue with IBSN data etc.

• (n) what is your preferred format - physical hardback/physical paperback/audio/ebook

• what is your preferred display cover

I currently pick my edition based on the cover I like which then skews my stats.

I think it would also be cool as to what editions of the series you see on the website. Usually series have editions of different years with coherent style.

Also possibility to have different descriptions for each edition or for each language, at least, please.

Yes please! For some reason it defaults to the English language book for books originally written in Spanish, my native language, and I really want the right edition to show in my library. It would be cool for aesthetic reasons too, but that other one hits harder for me
