Hardcover only allows books to be added by isbn or Goodreads code. Do you plan to support non-published ebooks (self published, non-US published), pre-isbn books (pre-1972), and book publication editions (by year, language published in, publishing house, etc)?

There are many Goodreads users who were upset by the removal of adding your own books because now you can specify the specific version of book you’ve read. Did you read a version published during a war, where propaganda was added/altered? Did you read the same book in multiple languages? Is the author not from the US, where buying into ISBN isn’t as common? Is it self-published, where you also didn’t buy into ISBN? Are you particularly into first editions? Do you read graphic novels where there are different artist versions? There are a lot of nuances to books that require a better metric than simply ISBN number.
