I think a nice feature to add would be a word count. It is super cool to be able to see the number of pages I've read and the number of words I've read would be a good addition too.

Yes, please. I think it's a more reasonable measure for ebooks. If font sizes change (I almost always change fonts and their sizes!), the page count also changes.
