Hardcover has a small and growing user base, though will likely never have the number of users as goodreads (though we can dream!). Therefore, for researching books I find it a lot easier to look at the total score viewed on goodreads, particularly given a lot of the less popular books on hardcover can have very few ratings. It would be great if each book on hardcover displayed the goodreads user score underneath the hardcover user score. This would pretty much require me to never open goodreads again (which would be my dream!)
