Would be really neat to be able to go to a list and sort it alphabetically by author or by how many books by each author were saved on the list.

We have now shipped two new sort options for Authors and Series 🎉 Please let us know over in the Discord (or on this feature request) if you notice any bugs with it!
Emma I appreciate how quickly this went from considered to delivered. The series feature should prove useful once I explore that aspect more. Unfortunately, the author sort appears to be of limited use due to the author field being the whole name (first last) rather than sorting by last name to match typical alphabetization. If the field is as it looks then this feature becomes a significant effort that may only be worth it as part of a larger database change.
Hello everyone! I was doing some cleanup of our feature requests and I found about 5 separate requests for this feature which I've merged into this one - it now has more than 70 votes (wow) so I will take a look at this one. Will see about doing sort by author first since that seems more requested, and then look into series sort after that. 🫡
This is easily my most desired feature. The usefulness of the app is hindered by the inability to sort lists by author. This comes in to play every time I find myself browsing through a large bookstore and my trusted book app becomes a source of frustration rather than trusted companion.
Yes! This would be a GREAT addition to the already robust feature set! Sorting by Series would also be valuable!!
Yes. This is by far the most frustrating lack of feature....and, quite honestly, the only one that is keeping me from fully committing. I feel like this is a no-brainer.
Any update on this feature? The fact that we can't sort books by author (most common way of sorting) seems very odd!

I desperately want this feature. I have sorted books by author my whole life and it is irrationally irksome to me that I cannot do so here.
