For devices like TVs or some eReaders, it can be tough to login with a browser or paste in a PAT. The solution to copy what Netflix, etc do: allow the user to sign in on another device and put in a 4-digit code to auth their Hardcover account.

We actually have this feature now. The devs making the integrations can add them using Oauth now. This is new so it's not being adapted widely yet.

Ian The doc is not fully updated yet. It's being worked on. There might a small chance this was reverted to wait for the doc, but I am 99% sure it's still there.

Govind Oops lol. It’s a tvOS and Android TV app, designed to browse your recent reads with someone IRL and chat about your mutually read books/reviews - a limited Hardcover big-screen experience. there’s also an ambient screensaver mode to display your library and other activity. I was over a friends house who reads psychical and we were able to strike up a conversation just by me peeping his shelf and I wanted to try to replicate that spontaneous opportunity for people (like me) that exclusively e-read or audiobook. It’ll be free and (once it’s more final) open source
