Hardcover's own rating is good, but on a lot of books the sample is small — a 4.3 from 40 readers doesn't tell me much when I'm deciding whether to commit to a 600-page book. So I end up opening Goodreads in another tab to sanity-check almost everything I consider, which is the one thing that keeps pulling me back to a site I'd rather have left behind.

Trakt (the film/TV tracker) solves exactly this. On every title page it shows IMDb, Rotten Tomatoes and Metacritic next to Trakt's own score. It doesn't read as an admission that Trakt's community is small — it reads as the site respecting that I want a full picture before spending ten hours on something. Trakt's own rating stays the headline; the rest sit alongside as context.

What I'd love on a book page:

Goodreads average + ratings count — the count matters as much as the score, because it's what tells me how much to trust it
optionally StoryGraph, and Book Marks (Lit Hub's critic aggregator) for professionally reviewed titles
Hardcover's own rating still first and primary
I appreciate this isn't trivial — Goodreads killed its public API in 2020, so it likely means scraping or a data partner — and that you're a small team. So even a plain link-out with no numbers, or a community-contributed field, would beat the tab-switching I do today.
