Right right.
We do have this feature suggestion
https://roadmap.hardcover.app/feature-requests/posts/book-quote-integration
For having a separate quotes tab on each books page.
While this one is about having one centralised place where all of your journal entries, quotes, etc might live
https://roadmap.hardcover.app/feature-requests/posts/ability-to-view-all-personal-journal-entries-in-one-page
Do you think either of those match what you are looking for, so we can merge this suggestion into that one?

Emma
I’m fine with merging into either. If it helps consolidate what seems to be a pretty common request, that’d be great. Neither of them appear to have a ton of context though, so I’d be happy to add anything that gets missed, in order to make sure that the product team has a full grasp of the request and doesn’t have to ask for additional context.

Emma The second one matches what we're talking about here. The first one just skips the steps needed to access the journal but a centralized page for our own quotes and notes would be more helpful.
The other one sounds similar to what GR has. In addition to our own publicity quotes, it could also display quotes added by others and highlight the popular ones.
Here I mostly just want to see my own notes/favorites.
No 1 could be "Quotes" like prompt tab
No 2 can be "My Notes and Quotes" under the books part of the sidebar

Govind ok! Thanks both - I think I will keep the three requests unmerged since this one has a lot more explanations on it. I've updated the title of this suggestion to make the request a bit more clear.

Emma I will try and explain more with my scenario. With KoReader I can easily update reading progress and add notes or quotes by selecting text.
The problem is that the journal gets cluttered with progress entries, and notes/quotes end up lost between them.
There’s no grouping, and finding books with quotes takes too many steps. You have to remember which ones have it and it's way too many steps to get to the reading journal page.
A separate Quotes and Notes section in the sidebar would be a huge quality of life improvement. I would use it far more if access was really easy.
Optionally, a button to export all notes/quotes would also be great. Also having a robust backup system for highlights, notes, and quotes could even attract more Kobo/KoReader users.
I have added a screenshot here . You can see how a note could get between the journal entries.
I’m using ShelfBridge to automatically update my reading progress while I read and I’m using KoboHighlights to upload my highlights (as quotes to Hardcover) from my kobo when I finish reading a book. My issue is that the reading progress updates and quotes are all in the same place, which makes finding the quotes a little bit more difficult (especially if I were to add the quotes while I read instead of at the end) because there’s too much going on. I personally think it’d be great if highlights/quotes were their own section as you’d be able to quickly find all of the quotes you’ve saved for a book, and quotes other people have saved for a book and not be surrounded by “X marked 11/22/63 as ‘Want to Read’” or other reading progress updates.
Does that make sense?

Hey would you be able to provide a bit more detail here on what you mean?

Hey Emma ! Yeah!
Take, for example, my reading log of 11/22/63, by Stephen King
