A RSS feed for three shelves - Books Read, Books Currently Reading, and Books Read - is a must. Different widget options (see Trakt for examples) to show books currently reading, books read in 2024, etc. would be even better. I can consider being a Subscriber if these are available.

I'd really love to be able to federate my Hardcover activity across the fediverse, on sites such as Mastodon specifically.

This is something we've been thinking about! The RSS feed could be a great easy solution for it.
We've been thinking about a Wordpress plugin, or general JavaScript widget to get this data. Perhaps getting it from the RSS feed would be the data source for it.

I like Hardcover much better than Goodreads but I really miss being able to embed an RSS feed of my reading activity into my personal Wordpress blog.
