As it currently stands, page progress doesn't count until you finish a book (unless I'm wrong). This can be discouraging for reading long books. If a user makes a progress update from X page to Y page, that activity should log an X amount of pages read for that date even if they never finish the book. As it currently stands, it seems you have to finish a book and then the dates you started and ended the book evenly distribute pages read on the github-style activity chart in stats. And then the line chart of reading activity effectively only shows things like "250 pages read" on a date that I finished a book. For 2026, I'm looking to set a page count goal because I know I'll be reading a few long books this year, but tracking that goal will be really hard if it only updates 3 or 4 times a year. I've read 145 pages this year, but my goal says I'm behind because hardcover seemingly can't log page progress. I'll also add that one of things I really liked about Fable(?) was the reading streaks; seems like making better use of reading activity in general could lead to more stickiness for the platform. Hardcover is my reading tracker, and I'll continue to support but this one would be a huge addition!
