My books: filter by genre/tags
Under consideration

I would like to list (Books I've read) ∩ (Genre == Science Fiction)

I started at https://hardcover.app/@EdSantiago/books/read

Open in Airlist > Table > Show > Tags > Book Genres

So far so good. I then tried Filters > Add Filter, but fail to see Genre or Book Genre.

Next I tried: https://hardcover.app/browse/tags/genre/science-fiction

...Table > Filters -- and I do not see a way to filter by Manage Status.

Maybe it's already there, and I'm missing something obvious?

Thank you!

I think when we do tackle this one, it will be probably be done together with

I really need at least a basic filter for my "want to read" that allows me to focus on either fiction or nonfiction. More fine-grained filters would be great, but this one is essential for me!

Hiya, we are doing a bit of a revamp of our priorities and this roadmap at the moment, so I'll be resetting this suggestion's status until we get a better idea of what we are working on next!

Honestly, wherever you can view a list of books it would be nice to be able to filter based on these and any visible metadata.

We're doing some major updates to lists of books that would enable this functionality for any group of books - books by status, books in a list, books in a goal, books by an author, etc.

We're working on this one right now actually! it'll be an update that allows any list of books (authors books, your books by status, a list, prompt, etc) to be filtered by a number of things – including genres.

Hardcover Team any update on this? Is it implemented and I just can’t see how to do it? Or did it get deprioritized at some point?

Drew yup, the migration to Ruby threw this off track most probably. We'll be attempting this but don't want to give you a timeline until we talk it with the team.
