The explanation is short so I'm not clear on what this is supposed to help or encourage. will every user have the chance to float a question? How many questions can be floated at a time and for how long? Is this any different from the planned Discussions tab?

Like Amazon's "questions" section on their product pages? Could be a good feature - but could also get real spoilery, real quick.
