I went to a book I liked, Ministry of Time, and went to Similar Books. The choices are odd?

Ministry of Time is quirky, time travel, bit of mystery.

• Klara and the Sun is a bit serious, about humanoid friends, not really similar
• Yesteryear is a fairly dramatic story about a trad wife, not similar
• Orbital is a kinda poetic love letter to the universe/Earth, not similar
• James is a re-telling of Huckleberry Finn from the perspective of Jim, a slave of the family, not similar
