Can we add a feature where we can custom add books to our own bookshelves without adding them to the public catalogue? For the purpose of tracking things like unpublished stories or fanfiction.

This feature is availble already. If you use the flag fuction to edit the edit the book, you can mark it as "user added." Even if you don’t have Librarian access, the edit page is not locked if the book was personally added by you.
