Custom Categories within "Want To Read"

It would help a lot if user is able to set their own custom categories to "want to read" to help with deciding which book to choose. Eg. If I feel like reading a story then it is difficult to pick a story book from the large list of want to read.

Tech -> Tech books
Office -> books to read during office leisure hour
Commute -> Books to read during commute.

Also a book in one category can belong to another category, eg. a book in story can be in commute too.

One concept we're considering is one we're calling "Smart Lists" which might work work for this use case.

The idea is that you could create a dynamic list based on some criteria. For example:

Tech Backlog = Want to Read + Tagged with "Tech"
Favorite Reads = Read + 5 ⭐
Unfinished Series = Want to Read + (Series position > 1)

This would be the same as using an Airlist then filtering, but without the added step of filtering each time you bring this list up.

Would that work for what you're thinking? Or would you see this more as a manual list of these books?

Adam Fortuna I think we donot want to complicate/confuse with automatic naming. Also automatic naming totally nullifies the user customisation. it does not enable user to apply multiple category at one like "tech" + "commute". It is totally fine to use Airlist to filter categories everytime one picks a book as it is not a frequent operation. You can consider this category or tag as long as the final working is same.
