Even though it is fun to see what others are reading and general updates, I think it would be really nice if I could choose which page is my default home page (or the page that shows up right after I log in). Or maybe even a page where I can select what information I would like to see? It would be great if I could choose, for instance, to show my library, some stats, or "currently reading" instead of the feed.

The dashboard edit experience is now available in beta for our Supporters πŸŽ‰

We have added the ability to add/remove/reorder your widgets, plus the option for 2 new widgets - a calendar widget and list widget.

I'll be fixing things up based on feedback from our supporters, and look towards doing a full release to everyone maybe mid to late March (depending on how many bugs we need to fix πŸ˜‚)

I would love to use widgets! Especially if there was one similar to Duolingo where Jules gives reminders to make progress towards our monthly reading goal!

I can see this is currently in progress, with plans to release widgets later in the year. I'm looking forward to this (hoping there is a widget for lists etc.), but this will not be as useful as it could be without the ability to hide certain sections.

Use Case I don't use Hardcover to network, but to track my own reading progress etc. As a result, I have an empty 'Feed' panel taking up a lot of real estate in my dashboard. If I could hide this, my dashboard could then free up some space for widgets (once available).

We have now shipped our first iteration of the dashboard - for browser users, you'll now be able to see the dashboard on the home page when you are logged in. For mobile users, you can access the dashboard via pressing the "home" button in the bottom leftπŸŽ‰

I'll keep this roadmap item open until we finish shipping phase 2, which will allow you add/remove widgets on the dashboard. The current timeline will be to aim to finish it in the first couple of months next year.

I have kicked off the dev work on this together with Ste! At this stage, we are planning as a first release to have a fixed set of widgets on a user's dashboard. So everyone will see the same widgets e.g. for books you are currently reading and stats, etc.

Then as part of a second follow-up release, we will allow users to add and remove widgets to customise their dashboard.

Like Adam mentioned, this is one of the features we are planning on working on over the coming months!

We're working on something exactly like this! We're calling it the Dashboard, which would be the new home page you see when you open the app or website.

It'll have different widgets, and you can select which ones you want to see based on how you want to use Hardcover. Hoping to release this later this year!
