A common feature of search fields in Android apps is to have a button that:

1. Clears the field; then
2. Auto focuses on it (brings up the device's native keyboard)

This substantially speeds up the search process when trying to log many books. The current alternative I've been using is to close this search, open the search back up, and then selecting the now-empty search field. This is fairly clunky with the native keyboard repeatedly closing and opening.
