For example, the Star Wars Trilogy book is a compilation of A New Hope, Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi. If I mark Star Wars Trilogy as read, then those three books would appear as read in their own lists. And vice-versa, if I separately read A New Hope, ESB and RotJ then Star Wars Trilogy would appear as read, too.
