Add privacy levels for personal stats

Sep 22, 2026
Currently any user can view any other user's full stats page. Can we have granular control here to show full (or partial if that's a future option) stats to a) everyone/public b) logged in users c) mutual followers d) private/no one
Full reading history and patterns being accessible like this is more data for a person's digital footprint and we should have the option of locking it down.

Just a heads up on this - the stats page only shows you what you can see.
We effectively have three versions of the stats page:
Private: The one you see, with everything
Following: The one people you follow can see
Public: The one everyone else sees.
The page itself is still visible, but the content on it will be derived from the books that you've allowed the viewing user to view.
Does that already solve this?
Commenting to strongly support this; requested increased privacy features in June but was a bit narrow so the suggestion has been bumped away.
With AI agents increasingly in the news, being able to have greater control over our privacy seems more pertinent than ever. I don’t want my data to be followers-only, but I also don’t want it to train a roaming LLM.
