Ability to control what kind of activities we want to see in feeds (eg hide progress updates)

"Currently we get a various feeds from friends. I personally do not want to see the progress made on books which the friends could update daily. I only like to get major updates like completed a book, started reading, rated a book or reviewed etc.
Also, I like filter option on my homepage where I can filter what kind of activities that I want to see on my feeds."

I’d like my newsfeed to show when a book is started/finished/reviewed, as well as any comments or quotes that were posted. But I agree, I don’t care to see progress updates and that takes up the bulk of the feed.
This may already be part of the request but just in case, can this be linked with a books feed page as well your dashboards Feed?

It would be great to see reviews, prompts or journal entries for the book in question rather than a large amount of User is X% done
For me, I want to control what information is shown to me in my feed (for example: I want to see reviews, new lists, answers to prompts)
